Warranty and Complaint Conditions in Norway

Warranty on Hidden Defects
- Standard Warranty: 5 years on hidden defects from the date of transfer.
- Complaint Conditions: Right to complaint applies if the product is in worse condition than expected based on the seller's information. This may be limited if the seller operates outside Norway.

Consumer Complaint Rights
- Purchases from Private Individuals: 2-year complaint right on hidden defects according to the Sale of Goods Act.
- Purchases from Car Dealers: 5-year complaint right on hidden defects according to the Consumer Purchases Act.

Purchases through a Dealer
- Professional Dealer: If the vehicle is sold by a dealer on behalf of a private seller, the consumer can choose whom to file a complaint with, unless the dealer has explicitly stated that they are acting solely as an intermediary.

- Complaint Deadline: Complaints must be filed within a reasonable time after the defect is discovered, otherwise, the right to claim may be lost.
